Everyone who has a Jehovah Witness in their family must read this book. It is so accurate and really helps understand how the Jehovah Witness is a Cult. This book exposes this Cult. This Cult is extremely dangerous as it separates families and refuses to acknowledge our Flag, our Military and our great Country. They pull their children out of school so the little ones are not exposed to anything except this Cult teaching. I have n ever seen anything like this blind Cult.

Old information! Hope to find something more up to date! At any rate, am on my guard against these deceivers!

This is a really funny, charming, very Maui-esque story with such a sweet ending. The illustrations are beautiful and the tone really matches the Maui character from the movie. Maui and Moana's friendship was so important in the film, and this does a great job of showing the flip side from Maui's perspective. I can't wait to read it with my five-year-old!

My boys (ages 4 and 9) are crazy about the Moana movie and they especially love Maui. It can be very difficult to find Maui related items with so much of the merchandise geared toward girls. When I saw this book I knew it was a must have! The looks on their faces when I pulled it out as a surprise at bedtime were worth every penny spent and more. They really enjoyed the story (which is told from Maui's perspective) and have asked to read it multiple times. If you have a Moana or Maui fan then this is a great book to add to your library!

This was a very fun, sweet read. I love all of Disney's hardcover dustjacket books! This fits perfectly into the collection!

To be honest, I wasn't 100% sure why I decided to get this book, but I certainly haven't regretted afterward.Despite being inexpensive and relatively short, it is incredibly informative, constantly looks out for the reader to not invest in anything too expensive in terms of equipment or editing software. Additionally, he has dozens of excellent suggestions for tricks to avoid problems, resolve issues and rookie mistakes that will make your video untenable for the purposes it was intended.After reading this book, I'm eager to get started recording videos on my own, following the easy steps that the author outlines in this book. If you are walking around with plans of making videos for business purposes or becoming the next Youtube sensation, then I can think of no better place to start than this book.

Overall a great introduction for small business people looking to incorporate video content into their client acquisition and retention plans.As a small business person myself, I appreciated the way the author makes crystal clear who his intended audience is and what the goal of the book is. It's not a high level tutorial, but a basic overview designed to de-mystify the learning experience for the neophyte.There's a lot of ground covered and some of it merits additional study and overview for me personally. For example, I still find myself a bit hazy about the difference between camera sensors and resolution as it relates to perceived video quality. I also don't really grok the interrelationship between aperture, shutter speed and ISO.One recommendation for the author if a future edition is in the works might be to provide some examples on his website to isolate these variables and demonstrate the impact they have. What would a full-frame (high-end) sensor vs camcorder or smart-phone (lower-end) sensor image look like at equivalent resolution? What would adjusting the aperture, shutter speed and ISO variables do to an image? Admittedly, the author mentions that some of these discussions are outside the intended scope of the book. But providing some accompanying examples as demonstration might help us visualize and understand the concepts better, without diving into weeds too much.One thing I appreciated especially about the book was the hardware and software recommendations. I enjoy market research and review-mining, but having some trustworthy, reasonably-priced starting points is of great value to me. Knowing precisely which lavalier microphone or iOS video recording app he recommends allows me as the user to delegate away the decisions I'd rather not research and aggregate on my own.A final note- I listened to in this book in audio format, which the author makes available for all digital edition purchasers. The content is essentially the same between both editions, and the quality is clear and consistent. While professional in tone and content, the author does inject some humor and character at select moments, and I connected with him. As he points out in the introduction, one advantage of audio (and even more so with video) is the chance to pick up on some of the subtle aural and kinesic cues a speaker provides. The audio edition provides that as well- as narrator, he comes off as authoritative and trustworthy, but still warm and with the reader's best interest at heart. Having listened, I implicitly trust his content and recommendations.For anyone out there looking to get into the video business to grow their brand, this short book is very much worth the small investment. An experienced videographer with clear explanations to the world of video taking on a budget. I liked the succinct explainations on the terminology and the recommendations on the equipment to get (both hardware and software). There are some tips on lighting and shooting that were useful. There was no information on how to do a storyboard or best practices for editing videos; perhaps not within the scope of this book. On the whole a solid introduction on getting started with video taking.

Not what I expected. This book must be for those that really want to go cheap - think smart phone or web cam for camera. If you're looking for other inexpensive alternatives, look elsewhere.

Wished the book covered choices and reasons for computer specifications for video editing software. What should I look for in a new computer that will grow with my video production businesses.

Not a detailed "how to shoot video book". An excellent book for gathering your equipment and being ready to shoot!

I really love Mary Kay's writing .I love the poems that are biographical, autobiographical and ones that I just plain relate to . I love her imagery and sassy metaphors that turn my head in the most unconventional way. She is top shelf and would love to hear her read her work someday somewhere!

My first encounter with Mary Karr was probably not a good introduction...so I will try to read something else of hers before forming an opinion. I read the book based on a one-liner that had caught my mind and heart: "You are loved, someone said...Take that/and eat it." I found much of the book to not be of that quality or substance.

Mary Karr offers new perspectives on faith -- the notion that our lives may be more than a meaningless splash in a meaningless ocean. And she does it without compromising her poet's sensibility or language.

IF Mary Kare writes a book. I want to read it. Her writing is raw and real scraped from the depths of her being.

This is another fine product by Mary Karr, for lovers of Mary Karr's novels. Excellent and insightful writing. To obtain maximum appreciation, read her books (Liar's Club, Cherry, Lit) before you read this book of poetry and prose.

Without battering the reader Mary Karr takes the daily life and requests that we pursue the questions of spirit contained in those activities. The book is personally valuable if only for the poem referencing the shift from boy to man in a son.

For fans of Karr's memoirs, this should be a treat. Especially after you've read LIT. Gritty, dark poems tinged with redemption.

This is poetry deep and turthful; no fancy words or complicated structure; just poetry carved down to its essense - each word is 'organic' to the whole - no other words would work and no extraneous flourishes necessary. She has lived her poems and it shows. While each person's life experiences are unique, our thoughts - at base - can be captured in the best poetry.
